Site storage / advertising measurement
Consent decides what optional storage can do.
This cookie statement explains the storage used on Oxbury X, including the advertising click identifiers attached to paid visits and the controls that keep those signals in bounds.
Last updated: October 8, 2026Effective date
1. This notice took effect on October 8, 2026.
It applies to visitors using oxburyx.com from the United States or elsewhere. Oxbury X is a small studio for consultations, one-off tasks and careful project support. The site is a live destination for paid advertising, so this page says plainly what happens when a visitor arrives from an ad and what happens after a choice is made.
The notice covers browser storage, query-string identifiers and the consent signals connected with them. It does not turn an inquiry into an account. There is no account, password, payment or card data on this site.
Named storage categories
2. Storage has a job, and the job is named.
Cookies and similar browser storage are grouped so a visitor can make a useful choice rather than accept a vague bundle. Strictly necessary storage keeps the interface and consent record usable. Analytics storage helps measure how the site is used after permission. Advertising storage carries campaign context and consented measurement for paid traffic.
- Strictly necessary: the consent choice, interface state and support chat token needed to provide a requested function. These are not optional advertising tools.
- Analytics: analytics_storage is available only after the visitor allows optional storage. It supports measurement of visits and page interaction rather than identifying a visitor by name.
- Advertising: ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization are available only after permission. They relate to campaign measurement and advertising signals from Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Meta Ads.
Oxbury X does not use a cookie to create a shopping basket. The catalogue is inquiry-only. A visitor describes a consultation, one-off task or project support request and receives a reply through the supplied contact route.
Storage register
3. The small table is more useful than a banner.
The register below names the browser keys and campaign values used by this implementation. A click identifier can arrive in the page address before a consent choice is made; it is not, by itself, permission to use optional storage.
| Name | Who sets it | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| site_consent_v2 | Oxbury X | Records whether optional storage was allowed or declined and lets the banner stay out of the way. | 12 months |
| chat token | Oxbury X support chat | Returns a visitor to the support conversation in the same browser. | 12 months |
| gclid | Google Ads | Identifies a Google Ads click for campaign measurement when the related consent allows it. | Campaign or browser retention set by the platform |
| msclkid | Microsoft Advertising | Identifies a Microsoft Advertising click for campaign measurement when the related consent allows it. | Campaign or browser retention set by the platform |
| fbclid | Meta Ads | Identifies a Meta Ads click where a campaign runs there and consent permits related measurement. | Campaign or browser retention set by the platform |
Advertising platforms set their own retention details outside this site's control. Oxbury X does not add a second hidden choice under another name: the local consent record is site_consent_v2.
Paid traffic
4. Campaign clicks keep their label, not a blank cheque.
Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Meta Ads send traffic here today. Google Ads can attach gclid to a click. Microsoft Advertising can attach msclkid. Meta Ads can attach fbclid where a campaign runs there. These values help identify which campaign brought a visit and can be received by the relevant platform when the visitor has allowed the applicable storage.
The identifiers can also remain visible in a page address while a visitor reads the site. Their presence does not mean the visitor has consented. The consent setting is the decision that controls optional signals. Oxbury X never says that a platform has reviewed, approved or verified this site.
Consent Mode v2
5. The four signals start denied.
This site uses consent mode, specifically Consent Mode v2, to pass a visitor's storage choice to the relevant measurement and advertising services. Before a visitor allows optional storage, and while no choice has been given, these four signals remain denied: ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage.
When the visitor allows optional storage, the allowed signals can be used for their stated purpose. When the visitor declines or withdraws permission, Oxbury X sets ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage back to denied at that moment. Global Privacy Control, including the Sec-GPC header, is honoured as an opt-out without asking again.
This is a control boundary, not a promise that every network response disappears from the internet. A platform may process a limited request under its own terms, and its policy governs that handling.
Your choice
6. Allow it once, or change your mind later.
The consent banner offers two clear actions: Allow optional storage or Decline optional storage. Selecting either action writes the choice to site_consent_v2 in the browser. The banner does not block the page, hide the inquiry route or force a decision before a visitor can read.
To change or withdraw the choice afterwards, select Cookie choices in the legal row at the bottom of any page. That control opens the banner again. Choosing decline resets the four Consent Mode v2 signals to denied. Clearing browser storage also removes the local record, after which the banner can ask again.
Need the control now? Use at any point. The same control works with a keyboard and on a touch screen.
If you decline
7. The useful parts of the site stay open.
Declining optional storage leaves the public pages, service descriptions, contact facts, inquiry form and legal pages available. A visitor can still ask about a focused business consultation, document review service in Austin, a one-off task or small studio project support.
Optional analytics and advertising storage stop. The advertising signals are set back to denied, and the site does not use the choice to block an inquiry. Strictly necessary functions remain available, including the record needed to remember the refusal and the requested support chat function.
Chat is separate from campaign measurement. If a visitor opens it, the conversation and browser token are kept for 12 months so the visitor can return to it. A chat visitor can choose not to provide a name or email, but a consent tick is needed before the support chat is used to reply.
Platform policies
8. Read the services' own explanations too.
Google Ireland Ltd and Google LLC provide Google Ads. Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd provides Microsoft Advertising, whose handling is covered by the Microsoft privacy statement. Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd provides Meta Ads where a campaign runs there.
Google's policy information is available at policies.google.com. Microsoft policy information is available at privacy.microsoft.com. Those documents explain each platform's own processing, retention and controls. Oxbury X does not rewrite them or claim platform approval.
A specific question
9. Ask about one cookie, one identifier or one choice.
For a question about a specific cookie, storage key, advertising identifier or consent record, contact Oxbury X at [email protected]. Written questions can also be sent to +1 (492) 555-5343. Include the name you saw and the page or campaign address if you have it; do not send payment details because this site does not take payment.
Oxbury X is located at 42 Oak Lane, Floor 2, Austin, Texas 23250, United States. For the wider handling of inquiry data, read the Privacy notice. The commercial terms for a consultation, one-off task or project support request are in Terms.
