Open working brief with a pencil and clipped paper edges

Austin · United States · inquiry only

Small work. Properly held.

Oxbury X is a small studio for focused business consultation, one-off tasks and project support. Bring the question or working material. Leave with a written next step or a finished piece.

Working brief / 01One question. One agreed edge. One useful handoff.

01 / The question

A better brief starts with the edge.

Most small requests go soft at the boundary. A document review becomes a rewrite. A quick decision turns into a standing meeting. This studio begins with the actual question, the material already in hand and the thing that should exist at the end.

A project brief review can stay small. We mark what belongs, what does not, and what the supplied material can support. If the edge of the work is unclear, we mark it before we begin.

02 / Working routes

Three ways to keep a small request moving.

Each route is an inquiry, not a product on a shelf. Scope is confirmed after the material and requested handoff are understood. There is no public price and no binding quote on this site.

Route 01

Focused consultation

A bounded conversation for a decision, document or question that has become difficult to judge from inside the project. The work ends with a written next step, not a vague discussion.

Route 02

One-off task

One defined piece of work built from material you already have. It may be a clean revision, a short document pass or another contained task where the output can be named before the first mark is made.

Route 03

Project support

Limited support around a live project when the whole programme does not need another owner. We agree the working edge, the available material and the handoff before the support begins.

Scope confirmed by inquiry

03 / Scope instrument

Put the shape of the work on paper.

Choose the route, tell us what state the material is in and name the handoff you need. The instrument gives a plain-language scope band. It does not estimate a price.

This is a scope conversation, not an estimator. The quote basis is confirmed by inquiry.

04 / Working boundary

Small work should stay small.

The studio will not turn an open-ended request into a programme. A fixed price is not invented before the brief is understood, and a handoff does not arrive without a stated next step.

  • Scope is confirmed by inquiry.
  • Material and desired output are named first.
  • The agreed deliverable has a usable edge.

The inquiry is reviewed through the contact route you provide. Scope confirmed by inquiry; no public price and no binding quote.
